PROJECT HIGHLIGHT
ExxonMobil (previously known as Mobil Oil)- Arun Booster Compression Project (1996) - gas compression facility for a 3600 MMSCFD Natural Gas Plant with 18% CO2 and 80 ppm H2S. This challenging project involved the construction of gas processing and compression facilities. With a contract value of USD353.3 million, this project comprised four (4) clusters 6x25,000 hp gas turbo compression and chilling refrigeration systems. It was completed 42 days ahead of schedule;
- EPC implementation of a 7,000 ton platform for sulfur extraction, located off the coast of North Sumatra and Aceh, in the Malacca Straits. The facilities included a 450 MMSCFD Natural Gas plant, a 85,000 ton Sulfur plant and 30”-100 km Subsea P-L. TRIPATRA was the principle contractor, and the value of the contract was USD316 million;
- Madura BD Gas Processing Platform (1990) - another Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) Projects where TRIPATRA developed three (3) offshore structures. The platform’s capacity was 300 MMSCFD and 25,000 BPD Condensate; and
- Successful project completion 55 days ahead of schedule for the South Lhoksukon A and D Field Development Project in 1996. This project was valued at USD35 million and required a 550 MMSCFD capacity.
Chevron (previously known as Caltex)
- Flexible Project Management - a USD463 million, five (5) year contract, awarded to TRIPATRA in 2005. This project covered all aspects of CPI’s portfolio of construction and maintenance work, including: program management of engineering; procurement; construction management, management of CPI’s heavy equipment fleet; management of construction services; and sustainable development of local subcontractors, suppliers and skilled labor;
- Engineering and Construction Services (1993-2003) - a major project for TRIPATRA involving the expansion of Caltex’s facilities in Riau with a contract value of USD686 million. The project involved engineering, construction, operation and maintenance facilities. TRIPATRA was the principle contractor for the project and it required 250 million man-hours. The production output was 700,000 barrels of oil per day; and
- Duri Steamflood Project Area-11 - an EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) project, valued at USD50 million, which TRIPATRA implemented between 2000 and 2003 in collaboration with Caltex Pacific. The production output was 100,000 barrels of oil per day.
- Engineering Services for BP West Java - between 1983 and 1993 TRIPATRA designed more than 80 platforms and more than 100 subsea pipelines totaling, approximately, 1.6 million engineering man-hours, at a contract value of USD48 million; and
- Blanket Engineering Services for BP West Java - Since 2000 TRIPATRA has provided BP with engineering services, with a total count of man-hours approaching 600,000, and a contract value of approximately USD14.3 million.
- South Jambi B Shallow Gas Project - an EPC project with a contract value of USD35 million completed in 2004. This facility of a 30 MMSCFD gas included a gathering system, plant, 60 km of a 10” gas trunk-line from the plant to PGN Sakernan, and 85 km of a 4” condensate trunk-line to Tempino. The project involved the installation of heavy equipment, among others, gas compressor (1500 HP), gas turbine generator (2x 1.2 MW), Kawasaki GPB 15, 800 kVA Diesel Engineer Generator Caterpillar 3508 TA, propane package, glycol package, de-etanizer package, separators, heat medium heater package, all piping, cabling, and instrumentation associated to the facilities.
- Onshore Oil Treating Facilities (OTF) and LPG Recovery Plant (LPGF) Project - an EPC project for the Ujung Pangkah Development Project. Awarded to TRIPATRA in 2006, with a contract value of USD105.4 million. The project scope of work included Oil Treating Facility (OTF), LPG Recovery Facilities (LPGF) and Jetty Modification. The Capacity of the OTF is 21,000 BPD with 4.2 km (2.6 km on marine trestle) of a 24” crude oil pipeline to a jetty. The capacity of the LPGF was 130 MMSCFD gas and 600 TPD mix LPG with LPG Storage spheres with a capacity of 4 x 18,000 BBL; and
- Crude Oil Storage Tanks - the Ujung Pangkah Development EPC Project which involved the construction of three (3) floating-roof storage tanks for crude oil. The capacity being 170,000 BBL with a 65-meter diameter. The contract value was USD14.49 million and awarded to TRIPATRA in 2006.
- Gas Production Facilities Jambi Merang Development Project - a Joint Operating Body (JOB) Pertamina-Hess project. This project was an EPCI Pre-Commissioning (engineering, procurement, construction, installation and pre-commissioning) gas processing program comprising four (4) work sites with the complete conditioning of gas and liquid. The program capacity being 120 BBTUD or equivalent to a 113 MMSCFD flow-rate. TRIPATRA was awarded the contract in 2007, and the contract value was USD154.4 million;
- Rantau Secondary Recovery Project - a project implemented in 1987 and valued at USD2 million. It involved the construction of water-injection facilities;
- L’Parigi Expansion Project - the construction of 3 (three) gas wellheads and an offshore production platform located at a depth of 100 feet. The capacity being 180 MMSCFD with a 16” - 80 km offshore, and 16” - 40 km onshore, gas transmission pipeline;
- Badak - Bontang Gas Pipeline (1981-83) - Engineering Design and Project Management Supervision project for the development of a 42” - 60 km length gas pipeline with the design flow rate of 2310 MMSCFD and maximum pressure of 930 PSIG. The total project cost was USD60 million and the amount awarded to TRIPATRA was USD1.8 million;
- Musi Block Project (1981-83) - a Gas-Processing Project comprising engineering, procurement, and construction. The contract value was USD8 million. The project comprised the establishment of a 40 MMSCFD flow rate, gas/oil flow lines 4” to 10” and approximately 80 km in length, Booster compressor station - 3 x 1500 HP and gas transmission pipeline 12” in diameter, and 45 km in length;
- Linda Field Development Project (1978) was another TRIPATRA's assignment with Pertamina involving engineering and project management for oil processing and refineries. This project's contract value was USD24 million.
- South Sumatra Gas Projector - Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) project for Natural Gas Oil, Gas and Pipeline. With a flow-rate capacity of 120,000 MMSCFD, with gas transmission pipe lines of 200 km with a 16” diameter, and 100 km with a 24” diameter. This project’s total value reached USD105 million and TRIPATRA’s component was USD7.3 million.
- Jatibarang Substation Project (1974-75) - Survey, Engineering, Material and Equipment Supply and Construction of five (5) - 5000 BOPD Oil Substations. The value of this project was USD5 million
PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TELKOM)
- Telephone Cable Network Project - TRIPATRA was contracted by the public company, PT. Telkom, between 1987-88, to construct a Telephone Cable Network in seven (7) districts across Indonesia. This project involved 410,800 man-hours with a total contract value of nearly USD6 million.
- Project Management Consultant - TRIPATRA provided a range of project management services for multi-projects, including location identification, financing schemes, design, and scheduling. This contract was related to the government’s five-year national development plan for the period 1988-93 (PELITA).
- Network Operations and Maintenance - TRIPATRA provided engineering design and implementation for PT Telkom between 1993-95. This project reached 210,000 man-hours with a contract value of USD1.9 million.
- Java Bali Fiber Optic Network - TRIPATRA was the main contractor for this project which was valued at USD135 million. The contract involved the placement of 400 km of fiber-optic cable - a total length of 48,72, 144 with 216 cores, and 40 towers of 80 meters each
PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN)
- Gas Transmission Pipeline Project - a project which involved the construction of the longest gas pipeline in Indonesia. TRIPATRA was the principle project manager for this challenging program. The contract comprised of engineering design and planning, project management, and construction supervision. The scope of the project included a total of 1004.5 km of 28” dia pipeline onshore and subsea pipeline at a depth of 170 feet, with a capacity to transfer 670 MMSCFD of natural gas from south Sumatra to Duri and Singapore. TRIPATRA’s contract value was USD15.1 million plus IDR107,241,953,499.
- Offshore Gas Transmission Pipeline - another project management contract involving a capacity of 32” OD, 159 km between Labuhan Maringgai and- Muara Bekasi as a part of the South Sumatra - West Java Gas Pipeline Project Phase 2. The project was valued at IDR28.5 billion plus USD313,390.
